Chiropractic’s View of
Mid Back Pain, Low Back Pain,
Pain going into your Thighs and Legs.

By Dr. Darin Burdman

How does Chiropractic view these problems?

First of all, we need to understand that the straight chiropractor specializes in the detection and correction of vertebral subluxation. The fine misalignment of the spine that causes the body to function improperly. The straight chiropractor looks at the spine the same way an engineer looks at a suspension bridge. He takes into account principles of physics and mechanics.

The chiropractor is specially trained in biomechanics (the mechanics of the body; how the body works). If the body does not work properly, the body will start to dysfunction and have pain. For example: Do the bones move properly? Are the muscles balanced from the right side and left side…etc. If the bones do not move properly or are “stuck” in their motion, the body will have pain. The pain comes from either a pinching of the nerves or irritation of the spinal joints caused by these misalignments of the spinal bones. When the nerves are pinched it causes spasms in the muscle pain in the ligaments and even at times numbness tingling or other neurological disturbances.

What makes chiropractors different? In viewing the spine or rather the entire body from a mechanical point of view. The chiropractor can successfully relieve the problems mentioned above as well as many others.

When there is a mechanical cause of back pain, the only solution is a mechanical one. If it is natural, noninvasive, safe and the only true holistic method today.
Therefore understanding how chiropractic works we can easily apply it to mid back pain, low back pain or pain going down the thigh and leg. The details of what needs to be adjusted, how to adjust it and how often will change based on the problem or extent of the Vertebral Subluxation.

The doctor of choice for back pain is the Doctor of Chiropractic. The first thing the suffer of back pain should know is. Whether the cause of the back pain is mechanical or not. The only one that can determine that, is the doctor of chiropractic.
